The AFXM-Digital probe can be used for inspection of the following connector types: ST, FC, SC, LC, and MU - PC/male and SC - PC/female.

The AFXM-Digital probe is used with the following software packages:

• AFXM-Digital Capture software package – for visualization, capturing and storing images of connector end-face
• AFXM-Digital Inspection software package - for visualization, capturing and detection/analysis of connector defects.

The AFXM-Digital probe is easy-to-use. No additional power is needed, just a USB2.0 port of the computer. The probe focuses the fiber image quickly. Once found, a single click of the AFXM-Digital Inspection software button centers the fiber and starts detection and comparison of connector defects according to the user-defined Pass/Fail criteria.

Connector inspection results are stored in the data base and can be generated as a detailed report in .html format.
